 baptism

Water baptism shows others we have personally trusted Jesus for our salvation. Jesus was baptized when He was on the earth, and we do this to follow His example. When Christians are baptized, they are submerged under water to identify with the death and burial of Jesus and raised out of the water to identify with His resurrection. We believe that water baptism is a public declaration of three important things: you are a follower of Jesus Christ, you are beginning a changed life in Christ, and you are part of a new family.

  GROUPS

CrossPointe community groups are small gatherings that are devoted to community and discipleship. These groups are scattered across the East Texas area. They meet in various locations and are smaller groups of people, together, doing community, worship, prayer, Bible study, and mission. There are Community Groups, Women's Bible Studies, and other opportunities to connect at CrossPointe. Click the button below to find a group that fits you!

DISCIPLESHIP

Here at CrossPointe, we believe that the Church of God is called to make disciples. It is for this reason that making disciples is a big part of our mission to Reach, Rescue, Restore and Release. Jesus, Himself, speaking in Matthew 28:19-20 says, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.”  At CrossPointe, we are committed to a culture of discipleship. The example of Jesus and his disciples according to Scripture is what our culture is based on. Jesus did three things; He invited people to follow Him, He spent time with the disciples, and He invested or poured into them.

INVITE | GATHER | INVEST

As a way of equipping the body of Christ, CrossPointe offers monthly Discipleship training classes that are focused on the “How” question of disciple making. When you attend the discipleship training class, you will learn practical skills of how to be a disciple maker. You will also discover resources to use when discipling others.
